Since September 1, 2016, Richard has been practicing law and on April 1, 2023, he became a part of Urban Law.
He specializes in construction law, contract law, obligations law, liability law, co-ownership law, commercial law, environmental law, municipal taxation, and procedural law.
His practice focuses on resolving disputes related to construction, renovation, sale, or rentals of real estate, whether commercial or residential. He also addresses conflicts concerning property rights, such as easements, long leaseholds, building rights, and usufruct, as well as the enforcement of various contracts, including franchise and commercial agency agreements.
In addition to litigation, he assists clients in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, such as commercial leases, agreements for principal residences, purchase agreements, construction contracts, architectural agreements, commercial agency agreements, and franchise contracts.
Richard earned his certificate of competence to serve as a substitute judge and deputy counselor on September 13, 2021. By Royal Decree of April 9, 2024, he was appointed as Deputy Justice of the Peace for the Canton of Braine-l’Alleud, a role he combines with his legal practice.
